Alzheimer's touches nearly everyone, whether through a personal diagnosis or through a friend, neighbor, or family member living with it. Brews for Brains brings the community together for an evening of live music, local breweries, and giving back, all in support of the Alzheimer's Association and the fight to end this disease.

An Artist Who Understands

Jay Allen is a country artist with more than 117,000 followers on Instagram, known for turning his own family's story into a mission. After his mother, Sherry, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's, he wrote "Blank Stares," a song about watching someone you love disappear in front of you. A live video of Jay performing the song with his mother on stage went viral, eventually reaching hundreds of millions of views, and later helped him reach the Top 40 of Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart after he performed it on NBC's The Voice.

Since then, Jay has toured internationally and helped raise more than $163 million for Alzheimer's research and support, performing for audiences around the world who share his story. His advocacy has taken him well beyond the stage: he's been honored with the Alzheimer's Association's Caregiver Award, personally invited to the White House by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, and made history as the first artist to perform a concert inside the U.S. Capitol Building. In 2020, he founded the Blank Stares Foundation to help fund research and support for those affected by Alzheimer's.

Jay's story and music have been featured on ABC World News, PeopleTV, and in People and Forbes magazines, among others. Named All Country News' 2024 Artist of the Year, he continues to tour with his band, The Stallions, sharing his mission with audiences across the country, and now, at Brews for Brains.
