Welcome to Team "A Better Way" for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s®!
We were thrilled to participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®—the largest event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Held annually in over 600 communities nationwide, this walk is a powerful movement to end this devastating disease. Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and over 11 million family members and friends provide their unpaid care. We need your support to help change this.
As a physical therapist for over 20 years and a certified dementia practitioner and trainer for more than a decade, I’ve seen the immense challenges caregivers face in dementia care. My personal connection to dementia runs deep. All four of my grandparents were diagnosed with dementia, and witnessing my grandmother care for my grandfather was a life-changing experience. This journey, along with watching my remaining grandparents be lost to dementia, fueled my passion to support caregivers in a meaningful way.
That’s why I started A Better Way – Dementia Care Solutions, LLC. Our mission is to provide caregivers with the tools, strategies, and support they need to create moments of joy and connection, even in the face of dementia.
Thanks to those who made a real impact by donating or joining our team. Together we raised $1,021.52. Your generosity will help advance Alzheimer’s research, improve care, and support families. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for standing with us! We look forward to next year!
