Calmer Meals in 5 Days: The Next Step to Nourishing and Peaceful Mealtimes in Dementia Care

Looking Back on Our Nutrition Series

Over the past few weeks, we’ve explored the role nutrition plays in dementia care, from choosing nutrient-dense foods, to adapting textures for swallowing safety, to building routines that support better eating.

But here’s the truth: even with the best food choices in the world, mealtimes can still feel stressful, unpredictable, and exhausting.

That’s why I created Calmer Meals in 5 Days, a step-by-step mini-course that helps you move from ideas to action with simple tools you can start using immediately.

Why Mealtimes Feel So Hard

Dementia changes how the brain processes every part of eating, including appetite, swallowing, sensory input, and independence. These changes are not your fault. But they do mean the “old way” of doing meals may not work anymore.

To make things calmer, you don’t need a gourmet menu or endless prep. You need small, doable shifts that make eating safer, easier, and more comforting for both of you.

That’s what this 5-day mini-course delivers.
